Day 253

Nibble Nose Black as coal

Another black cheese I don’t really like.

Day 252

Lymn Bank Farm Horseradish

I thought the horseradish came through well. Enjoyed it on a butty with some beef.

Day 250

Lymn Bank Farm Garden herb and Garlic

Pretty good cheese, maybe not quite as good as the one yesterday. Hard to believe I have had 250 different cheeses this year 116 days till next year!

Day 249

Snowdonia Green Thunder

Superb garlic and herb cheese, oregano comes through first, reminds Ben of lasagne, in a good way, as it warms up the garlic develops. Really well balanced cheese, not going to be any left.

Day 248

Kendal Crumbly

Well this proves Kendal is in Lancashire! What a great cheese, tangy and sharp, crumbly as a crumbly thing. Made by Tom Sandham for Low Sizergh Barn.

Day 247

Asiago

Bit of a mystery cheese, until I google it, it tastes a bit goaty, especially the rind! It is creamy and fairly solid. Good flavour, would be good on a salad.

Day 246

Just Jane Vintage Cheddar

I thought this might be the same as their mature cheddar, but it is more mature in flavour and a little darker in colour. Made great cheese on toast for lunch.

Day 245

Nibble Nose whisky and Orange

Pleasantly orange flavoured but lacking in whisky.

Day 244

Lymn Bank Farm hot and spicy cheddar

Plenty of chilli in this cheese, thought at first it was totally overwhelming the cheese, but at the last minute it pulls back on the chilli and stays enjoyable.
