Day 246

Just Jane Vintage Cheddar

I thought this might be the same as their mature cheddar, but it is more mature in flavour and a little darker in colour. Made great cheese on toast for lunch.

Day 245

Nibble Nose whisky and Orange

Pleasantly orange flavoured but lacking in whisky.

Day 244

Lymn Bank Farm hot and spicy cheddar

Plenty of chilli in this cheese, thought at first it was totally overwhelming the cheese, but at the last minute it pulls back on the chilli and stays enjoyable.

Day 243

Just Jane to fly again Mature cheddar

Interesting, it is really creamy, not very mature, but very nice.

Day 242

Snowdonia Beechwood Smoked

Lovely smoking of this cheese gives a light even fruity flavour great with a pint of Ennerdale darkest.

Day 240

Lymn Farm Limoncello cheddar

It really does taste of limoncello! Just to verify I found some Limoncello in my fridge to have with it. Limoncello does keep forever right?

Day 239

Lymn Farm caramelised Red onion

Very nice, not too oniony but it is there in the background.

Day 238

Skegness Blue

Lovely mild blue cheese, a very pleasant change after weeks of nothing blue. Coupled with a rare lamb salad and some pecan and maple Crunch.

Day 237

Lymn Farm Cheddar with cranberries

Quite a brown cheese, I guess this is from the cranberries. It has a good flavour not at all like a Wensleydale with cranberries. The cheese shines through.
